AiWon Series

Fixed Spot Systems for Localized Photomanipulation

The AiWon series comprises a variety of fixed spot devices for photomanipulation in microscopy applications. With all devices of the AiWon series, the sample illumination is located in the center of the field of view.

If positioning of the laser beam is needed, simply the stage needs to be moved. If positioning of the illumination beam needs to be moved with high speed and high precision virtually anywhere in the field of view, please refer to our scanner-based photomanipulation devices of the UGA-42 series.

The AiWon series consists of three general models, each tailored to special experimental demands:

  • AiWon – Small spot with high power density for general photomanipulation applications
  • AiWon Geo – A variety of preset spot shapes and sizes to illuminate a large area
  • AiWon Caliburn – Small spot size, high energy pulsed lasers for ablation, microdissection and DNA-damage

Applications

The devices of the AiWon series can be used for all kinds of experiments, where local light illumination or manipulation is needed.

Typical applications are:

  • Photobleaching / FRAP
  • Photoconversion/ Photoswitching
  • Ablation/ Microdissection
  • DNA-Damage
  • Photoactivation/ Photoinhibition

  • Optogenetics/ Photostimulation
  • Neural mapping, dynamics and plasticity
  • Uncaging/ Photolysis
  • Infrared Laser Temperature Jump

Spectral range of laser systems

For all AiWon devices, we offer fully integrated turn-key laser systems with a large spectrum of wavelengths covering the UV, the visible and the near IR range (266 nm – 1470 nm).
