Spinning Disk Microscopy

High Speed Multi-Point Confocal Imaging
CrestOptics S.p.A.

The spinning disk systems of CrestOptics enable high resolution confocal imaging of fast processes in living samples. It also speeds up the imaging process of your static sample with an increased signal-to-noise ratio. Furthermore, it is a useful tool to capture image stacks for 3D reconstructions, or to execute multi-dimensional (X, Y, Z, t) and multi-channel imaging. The proprietary design ensures a high transmission rate and a low cross talk. X-Light systems show a long-term stability over years with no need of re-alignment after the first installation.

The following spinning disk systems are available:

  • X-Light V2 – Second generation spinning disk confocal system with one camera port

Applications

Some typical applications are:

  • Live cell imaging
  • Uncaging/ Photolysis
  • High resolution imaging
  • Real-time confocal imaging
  • Z-stack recording for 3D reconstruction
  • Imaging of fast process
