UGA-42 GEO - Selectable Spot Shape Scanning Device

The UGA-42 GEO is a galvanometer based device, designed to generate light spots of different sizes and shapes in the field of view of the microscope. The device offers a variety of spot shapes and sizes to choose from, partly eliminating the need to scan in applications requiring the illumination of larger regions of interest (ROI), for example whole cells. Standard shapes include circles, squares, rectangles and donuts. The spot can be positioned anywhere in the field of view in under 1 ms.

The UGA-42 GEO includes the scanner module, the optical and mechanical components necessary to create the spot, the microcontroller and the software. The optical module is coupled to the microscope without interfering with most other existing devices (e.g. spinning disk, LSM, etc.). The device uses lasers as light sources.   • Can be combined with wide field fluorescence, LSM and spinning disc confocal, etc.
